Important Booster Club Update
You all likely saw the news last week about spring semester being completed online and all sports and activities being cancelled. While this was expected, it's obviously disappointing for the athletes and the Booster Club alike. We wanted to provide a quick update on how the Booster Club is handling a few things as a result.
First, we'll be working with Chris to support some kind of event to honor the seniors for their contributions and provide an opportunity for everyone to get together. The timing and format will obviously be dependent on the pandemic and the local guidance. It won't be a formal banquet, but something more casual. More details will be provided, but this will likely be during the summer.
Second, we want to address the money that we collected during registration night and through clothing sales. 90% of the funds raised by the Booster Club comes from clothing sales. As this has already been paid for and distributed, we can't provide refunds. For athletes that plan to return next season, we will plan to re-use the suit and caps (instead of getting new ones), which will save $75. In addition, we can roll over the $40 activity fee which covers some team meals and a banquet ticket. Returning swimmers will only need to purchase the team t-shirt and any other new gear they would like (hoodies, parent shirts, joggers etc.).
For seniors or those that aren't planning to return to the team next year, we do have some options. The suits and caps won't be usable, but we can refund $20 along with the $40 activity fee. Or, you may choose to donate all or part that to the Booster Club and record that as a charitable donation (we are a 501(c)3).
If your swimmer isn't returning next year and you like to receive a refund, please let us know. You can contact our treasurer, Sherry Denchfield at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Finally, if you were late to ordering your team gear, these orders have already been placed and we are waiting for delivery. We were not able to cancel these orders. When the team gear arrives, Melinda Silolahti will contact each swimmer to schedule delivery.
We appreciate everyone's ongoing support and enthusiasm during these unprecedented times. We are very much looking forward to seeing everyone when we have the senior celebration. And we will provide those details as soon as we have them.

Fossil Virtual Meet Results
Hello Bruin Swim and Dive Families...
I am happy to announce that the restrictions on coach/athlete connection has been lifted and we are excited to be back in touch with our swimmers and divers! While the last 2 weeks have been nothing short of difficult as it relates to making meaningful connections with our student-athletes, we are excited for the opportunity to re-connect and move forward, whatever that looks like...
I had the opportunity to "conference" with our student leadership team yesterday and the proverbial wheels are in motion with brainstorming and creating virtual ways for our student athletes to contribute/connect...
Please keep an eye on the website and email for any updates, as they become available. To be clear, these virtual connections will be done through social media and other NON person to person activities and opportunities. While this is far from ideal, it is a gigantic step in a positive direction towards keeping our 2020 team cohesion thriving, whatever that may look like. It will take patience and creativity at a minimum, but the next steps are the "calling" for our 2020 team leaders and we could not be more excited to find out what they are able to create in the interest of maintaining what makes our Bruin Aquatic Community so special...
On behalf of the Coaching Staff, to our student-athletes and families, please continue to take care, stay healthy and remain positive...we will persevere together as one team and one family...
Hello Creek Swimming and Diving Families:
By now, I am sure you have been informed that all after school activities/athletics have been canceled for today, 3/12/20, which includes our home dual meet with Mullen and APS. Also, the 2020 Spring Sports Season has been suspended until April 6th- this includes all regularly scheduled practices and competitions during this timeframe. This is all of the information I have at this point and further information will be communicated via email and through the team website as it is received...
Notes from the Coach
The 2020 Season is finally upon us and we are excited to get going…

With the season about to start, now is the time to volunteer and help out the Booster Club with various events. We always need help with timers for home meets and photographers for away meets. But you can always donate food, make burritos (and drink wine), or help out with the team breakfast/clothing distribution. Just click those links and signup.
We also have some key positions open for the Booster Club itself. We need to fill the following positions:
- A-League Coordinator
- Senior Recognition Night Coordinator
- Yearbook Coordinators (3-4)
- Treasure Trainee
- MeetManager Trainee
Contact Corey Hanna (email@example.com) if you are interested or have any questions.
